The 2nd Asia-Europe Comics Project

Phase 1: Asia-Europe Collaboratory (online artistic project, 27 August – 08 October 2007)
Phase 2: Asia-Europe Comics Project, in association with the COMICA festival in London (20-24 October 2007)

The Asia-Europe Comics Projects Series projects on comics and graphic novels started in August 2006 when the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) gathered 12 comic artists and a team of facilitators in Singapore with the primary aim of promoting the discovery of and building of new relationships between Asians and Europeans in this field by relating their common concerns and aspirations through each other’s eyes. The main theme of the gathering was: ‘Migration: Arrival or Departure?’ A publication containing the process and results of this gathering is due to be launched in October 2007.
